Those who watched the Under 18s play Wealdstone last week would have thought that this was a repeat of that game. In the first half the Woods were the better team, playing a reasonable game and creating the only chance, when on 10 minutes Aiden Lynam shot over when well placed. Lee Edwards came on to replace the injured Ed Hatcher on 26 minutes, and had a good game considering he hasn't played for some time. The second half, however, was a different game altogether. The Woods scored first when on 50 minutes a cross from the right was headed down by Ollie Wright, and Aiden Lynam smashed it into the net. The after the Lord Mayors Show etc. etc.!! Just two minutes after Northwood's goal, Dwane Broomes hit a hopeful ball goalwards from the half way line, and somehow keeper Ross Thompson managed to let it in. This dented the Woods confidence and boosted Henley's. From then on it was virtually all one way traffic, so it was no surprise when Henley took the lead on 64 minutes, and the Woods defence allowed Ben Jentrop to run unopposed from the halfway line and slip the ball past the goalkeeper. Adam Wheeler finished Northwood off in the 78th minute, when again he rose to head in a corner without a Northwood player anywhere near him. Overall, another disappointing performance from a team who seem to lose confidence after they score, Maybe next week they should concede first and see what happens! Man of the Match: Lee Edwards
